SWAG
Swag is a term that points to a person’s appearance, style or presentation. No doubt Jesus Himself had swag. Even His opposition had to admit, “He speaks as one having authority.” Jesus executed dynamic life-changing events with simple authority over them. People were freed. Impossibilities were made possible. He spoke over disease, brokenness and lack like He had the authorization to control it. While Jesus invested extensive prayer and worship times to bond with the Father, He would emerge One with the Father and would command the demons and physical world to comply. His swag was in His authority, given by the Father. But did you know that before Jesus left the earth after the resurrection He specifically transferred Kingdom authority to believers? What is it that gave the first century apostles their Jesus swag? What did they know, believe and think that made them respond to life the way they did? When we use our authority things change.
