DEVO:  GREAT GRACE
Did you know that if you “receive the abundance of grace” everything in your life changes???

What is Grace? Traditionally, we define grace as “unmerited favor.” Literally, grace is an empowerment or an enablement to fulfill the plan of God. Upon dealing with the “thorn in the flesh,” Paul prayed and heard these words from Jesus. They give great insight into grace.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 NKJV And (Jesus) said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong

This “strength” that is made perfect in weakness is translated from the Greek word “dunamis.” We derive our English word “dynamite” from “dunamis,” and it literally means “miracle power.” It’s the same word translated as miracle power throughout Scripture in reference to delivering demoniacs, healing bodies, the ability of God’s Word and so on. It gives the image of God’s Omnipotent ability. Jesus said that “grace” is the miracle ability or power of God, revealed in our human weaknesses!

When God extends His saving grace to us, it’s God’s power to save us (since we do not have the power to save ourselves). Grace is the power! Even our ministry offices are called “graces.” No matter how smart a person is, his/her natural abilities will always fall short when helping hurting people. It takes the power of God to truly minister to the needs of humanity, and He enables us to do so by His grace!

The only way to short-circuit grace, which God unrelentingly provides towards us, is for us to strive meritously, trying to gain God's favor by our perfections, achievements and moral goodness. This nullifies the miracle power of God in our lives. But if we simply receive the gift of grace by faith we enter a miraculous salvation and lifestyle.

Galations 2:21 AMP …I do not set aside and invalidate and frustrate and nullify the grace (unmerited favor) of God. For if justification (righteousness, acquittal from guilt) comes through [observing the ritual of] the Law, then Christ (the Messiah) died groundlessly and to no purpose and in vain. [His death was then wholly superfluous.]

Grace must be “received.” You have to decide, reach out by faith and receive grace. This means that when you “take” it you may not feel it. You just begin to walk in the grace by faith. You declare you have great grace. You expect it to be present in the time of need. God doesn’t automate grace into our lives; we must receive it.

To power-emphasize what grace will do in our lives the Apostle Paul said this:

Romans 5:17 NKJV For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)

Receive God’s grace right now to face everything you have in your life. You won’t just survive, you will REIGN!!!

PRAYER:
Lord God, You are the source of my everything. I give you my heart. Help me walk out this “receiving” of grace. By faith I now receive your grace; your power revealed in my human weakness. I believe that today I will reign in life as a king; that I will walk in ability and authority over ever element of my life. Thank you God for giving me the victory in Redemption. I worship you with my submission to this truth.

PRAYER PLAN: LP Forgiving Others - That EVERYONE at LifePointe would find power and courage to forgive

SUGGESTED READING:  Galatians 6 (NIV)

1 Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. 2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. 3 If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves. 4 Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, 5 for each one should carry their own load. 6 Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.

7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

11 See what large letters I use as I write to you with my own hand! 12 Those who want to impress people by means of the flesh are trying to compel you to be circumcised. The only reason they do this is to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ. 13 Not even those who are circumcised keep the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your circumcision in the flesh. 14 May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. 15 Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is the new creation. 16 Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule—to the Israel of God.

17 From now on, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus. 18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers and sisters. Amen.

DECLARATION:
Today I receive the grace of God and walk in it. No matter what I need or what season of life it is, I find the grace to help me in my time of need (Hebrews 4:16). No weapon formed against me shall prosper, for my righteousness is of the Lord. But whatever I do will prosper for I’m like a tree that’s planted by the rivers of water (Isaiah 54;17; Psalm 1:3). I am delivered from the evils of this present world for it is the will of God (Galatians 1:4). No evil will befall me neither shall any plague come nigh my dwelling. For the Lord has given His angels charge over me and they keep me in all my ways, and in my pathway is life and there is no death (Psalm 91:10-11; Proverbs 12:28). I take the shield of faith and I quench every fiery dart that the wicked one brings against me (Ephesians 6:16).
