Patrick and Tina Norris                      Members Since 2001
Lead pastor and Founders
Patrick and Tina have the single focus of bringing life to a hurting world. The dream in their hearts is to be innovative, relevant, and radical in presenting the amazing news of Jesus Christ. Their ministry goes all the way back to high school, on to Bible school, then 13 years of Patrick traveling as a guest speaker to hundreds of churches, conferences, and seminars around the world. Tina, with over a decade of experience from the banking industry managed the daily operations side of Patrick Norris Ministries while also being a full time mom to their two boys, Evan and Mitchell. Over the years, Patrick has received the honorary title of Professor at a school of theology and has continued to speak at ministry training schools stateside and internationally. In 2001, God gave them a new assignment - to found LifePointe Church in Southwest Kansas City. As senior pastor, Patrick loves being involved in the daily lives of the congregation and desires to lead people into radical life through Jesus. Tina continues to handle the details (she really does enjoy it!) and helps oversee KidsLife children’s ministry.

John and Patty bring years of experience in family ministry, ranging from all aspects of pre-marriage, marriage, and family situations. They love being involved in people’s lives to bring hope and healing, especially during trying times. John directs the service flow each Sunday and Patty leads the pre-service prayer team and is actively involved in KidsLife. Their three grown children, Whitney, Victoria, and Bryce, are all in church ministry scattered around the country, while Susanna and John Blake are still at home.

Jason and Dolly both received BA degrees and ministry training from Tabor College. At LifePointe they have given themselves wholeheartedly to God’s plan. Jason is an accomplished musician/songwriter and has led the worship team since 2003 and Dolly has served in various key capacities. In 2009 Jason joined the LifePointe staff fulltime as Worship Leader and Student Ministries Leader, naming it SURGE, and together with Dolly is shooting adrenaline into the souls of the adults and youth of LifePointe!

Carol Vennart                      Member Since 2001
Administrative Assistant
Carol has served throughout the church. In her years as an RN and close work with terminal and HIV patients, Carol developed a caring and compassionate nature. As a head nurse, she gained knowledge and experience in leadership, organizational skills, and management. If you want to know where something is, ask Carol! Ever the learner, she is currently enrolled in the Rhema Correspondence Bible School. She and her husband Bill, and their children David (and wife Stacey), Billy (and wife Jen), and Missy are a vital part of LifePointe.

As well as owning his own graphics and web development company, David does consulting work, and is a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer. He also has an Associate of Arts degree in Architecture. David is a tireless volunteer, devoting hours of time to create most of the graphics and video pieces seen each week at LifePointe. He loves the rugged outdoors and is an avid camper. David and his wife Lauren have three children- Ben, Allyson, and Megan.

Chris Kerstien                      Member Since 2001
Hospitality Team Leader
Chris graduated from Trenton State College with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and is the Production Manager/Desk-top Publisher for an office equipment company. Her servant’s heart toward hospitality creates a comfortable and inviting atmosphere at LifePointe. She is a blessing to be around. She also coordinates LifePointe Ladies meetings and events. Chris has two grown daughters, Evie and Mandy.

Linda Hunter                      Member Since 2001
Catering/Meals Ministry
Linda has worked the family business of Hunter Lawn Service since 1969. She has been a part of the Meals Team Ministry since the beginning and has served on the Hospitality Team, Greeter Team, and Prayer Team. She just celebrated 50 years of wedded bliss to Carroll, has two children, and is the proud grandmother of 6. Her faithfulness is an inspiration to all who meet her.

Shelly McGuire                      Member Since 2003
The 411
Shelly found Jesus at LifePointe and now loves to help people get involved in events and growth opportunities available to them. She has served in many areas, and the 411 is dearest to her heart. At the information hub of LifePointe, Shelly leads a team of dedicated volunteers who stay up-to-date on all church happenings and spiritual resources. She has two children, Tyler and Michyla, and runs a full time in-home childcare business.

Carroll Hunter                      Member Since 2001
Landscaping Team Leader
Carroll loves the land. Raised on a farm, then farming on his own for three years, he came to the big city at age 19. After serving his country in the Marine Corps he founded Hunter Lawn Service in 1969. Carroll has truly lived his life in honor of the Lord, dedicating himself in time and effort at every church he has been a part of through the years. He and his wife Linda recently celebrated 50 years of marriage and have two children, Kim and Kevin, and 6 grandchildren.
